The Heartwoods 1 project (2002-2005) has been completed very successfully with nearly £1 million invested in the sector, 28 new jobs created, 47 jobs safeguarded and 100 business personnel trained. £100,000 of timber was also brokered and over 80% of the timber purchase requests were sourced from within the area creating £80,000 of business.
